New York's Strand Book Store is a place of legend. It stocks 18 miles of books!
I'm pretty sure you could buy any book in the world in this shop. My heart broke a little in the knowledge I couldn't purchase a single one. Stupid travel weight!
I had to console myself with postcards instead. Here are a couple of pics that do no justice to the awesomeness of this shop.
They even have a stand entitled "real books priced lower than e books." Power to the independent bookstores!
